Terms & Conditions

Welcome to GameCraft Academy! We are excited to help your child unlock their creativity and learn the exciting world of game development. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before enroling.

1. Enrolment and Payment

  • Enrolment: To enrol, you must complete and submit an online registration form. ​

  • Payment: Fees are payable in advance for the full Term. Payment options may include credit card, debit card, or bank transfer.​

​

  • Late Payments: Overdue accounts will be charged a $10.00 fee fourteen days after the due date. An additional $10.00 fee will be charged for every seven days the account remains unpaid. A late fee may apply for payments received after the due date. Financial arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis. New students will be charged a $35 One-Off Joining Fee to cover insurance and software licensing. Payment of $90 three session trial can be deducted from your first week of Enrolment. ​

  • Refunds: There are no lessons on Public Holidays. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. However, we may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis for planned absences (e.g., family vacations) with prior notice.  

2. Class Participation

  • Attendance: Regular attendance is highly encouraged for the best learning experience.  â€‹

  • Behavior: Students are expected to behave respectfully towards instructors, other students, and GameCraft Academy property. Bullying or harassment in any form towards students or staff will not be tolerated and will result in serious consequences. Disruptive behavior may result in disciplinary action, up to and including class dismissal. GameCraft Academy is strictly a NO BULLYING ZONE.

  • Technology: Students are responsible for having access to the necessary technology and software for their classes.

  • Classroom Rules: Parents are not allowed in the classroom during lessons. Food and/or chewing gum is not permitted in the studios. Students should arrive on time for class, with any necessary software loaded and ready. Students should dress appropriately for class.  

3. Safety and Liability

  • Waiver: While GameCraft Academy maintains appropriate Public Liability Insurance and takes utmost care with students, I agree to release GameCraft Academy and its employees from any liability for injuries to my child while attending classes. I acknowledge that my child's property and person are at my own risk while attending GameCraft Academy classes. I will not hold GameCraft Academy liable for any loss of life, personal injury, or damage to property, even if caused by negligence on behalf of GameCraft Academy, its instructors, or staff.

  • Supervision: During in-person classes, students are under the supervision of qualified instructors.

  • Safety: GameCraft Academy prioritizes a safe and inclusive learning environment. Any concerns regarding safety or well-being should be reported to the instructors or management immediately. I will report any unsafe conduct or conditions observed before, during, or after classes to Matthew Carver, owner, the administrator, tutors, or staff as soon as possible.

  • Lost Property: Please ensure all personal property is clearly labeled. GameCraft Academy and its staff are not responsible for lost property. We have a "Lost Property" bin that is emptied at the end of each term, and unclaimed items are donated to charity.  

4. Intellectual Property

  • Student Projects: GameCraft Academy encourages student creativity. However, students should understand that they may not claim ownership over intellectual property developed in-class exercises or projects.  At GameCraft Academy's discretion, ownership over the intellectual property of projects may be transferred to the student/s when they reach legal age.

  • The student may use student projects for self-promotion, portfolio, and advertising.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Class Cancellations: GameCraft Academy reserves the right to cancel classes due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, severe weather). In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the class or provide alternative arrangements.

  • Student Withdrawal: If you need to withdraw your child from a class, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.

​6. Use of Images and Videos

  • Photography and Video: GameCraft Academy reserves the right to take photographs/videos of students participating in classes/activities for promotional purposes across various media, including our website, newsletters, social media, and printed materials. By enroling, you consent to the use of these images and videos.  

7. General Conduct

  • The studio and office will open 10 minutes before the first class of the day. Please be respectful of neighboring businesses. Exercise caution when entering and exiting the GameCraft Academy car park. Street parking is available, but please be mindful of other businesses sharing the space.  

8. Updates

  • GameCraft Academy reserves the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website.  

9. Acceptance

  • By enroling your child in GameCraft Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
